“Dreams and Symbols” - Michael Cowan
On March 26, 2026, Michael Cowan, Dean of Humanities for Valor Education, introduced Valor Institute retreat participants to William Butler Yeats’s biography as well as the motifs of his early poetry. The early Yeats was no escapist, but a dreamer, using mythic symbols to articulate the divine realities permeating our world.
If you’d like to attend an academic retreat with the Valor Institute, please see our calendar of events.
The Valor Institute for Studies in Person and Community exists to promote an adequate philosophical anthropology and capacious understanding of the human person flourishing in authentic community.
