I am glad you made your way to our doorstep and I bid you welcome on behalf of Valor Kyle! John Keats wonderful poem “To Autumn” asks a profound question: What are the songs of Spring? His answer involves crickets, lambs, and swallows, the creatures of Spring. The seasons are just one window into the majesty of the world. Keats beckons us to join the choir!

At the threshold of our educational vision is the Latin phrase Sapientia per Admirationem, translated as “Wisdom through Wonder”. At Valor Kyle, we aspire to rise above narrow or reductionist visions of education. Wonder strips us of preconceived notions and allows us to penetrate the heart of reality. inviting inquiry and the capacity for mystery. This disposition sweeps us up into the Great Conversation of the Classical Tradition. True wisdom begins in wonder because the world is charged with wonderful things, and we have just scratched the surface!

What follows from this vision is an invitation for your children into a way of life, an adventure! When we fight alongside the greatest heroes in a great novel, muse with the poets, or observe great works of art, we become more fully alive!  Adventures are rarely embarked upon alone. At Kyle, we cultivate communities of friendship that have as their common object the love of all that is true, good, and beautiful!  Friends help us see and savor what we cannot see alone.
