Samuel Roberts
Academic Fellow of the Valor Institute
Samuel Roberts is an Academic Fellow at the Valor Institute for Studies in Person and Community.
Dr. Roberts received his BA in History from Hillsdale College and his MA and PhD in History from the University of Notre Dame, where he specialized in the intellectual history of the Renaissance and Reformation. During his time at Notre Dame, he also served as a Graduate Fellow at the Nanovic Institute for European and a Sorin Fellow at the de Nicola Center for Ethics and Culture. He received awards for both teaching and research, including the Kaneb Center Outstanding Graduate Teaching Award and the John Highbarger Memorial Award for the best doctoral dissertation in History.
In his work as an Academic Fellow, Dr. Roberts helps to shape the Valor Institute’s academic programs and events, build partnerships with other organizations committed to human flourishing, and promote the work of the Valor Institute throughout Texas and across the country.
