High School Preview Night
The high school years are deeply formative: this is a time when girls and boys become young women and men. They will turn their gaze outward with ever greater intensity seeking to find their place in the world. Moreover, they will look to their peers and the broader community (teachers, coaches, and mentors) not only for guidance but for affirmation and identity.
It is hard to underestimate the importance of this stage in your child’s upbringing...
Who will be their teachers and coaches?
What questions will fill their minds and hearts?
What is the vision of life that will be cast for them?
What books will they read and discuss?
Who will their friends be, and will their families share a similar vision of life as yours?
What ethos will infuse competitive sports and extracurricular programs?
These are a few questions we invite you to ponder as you consider high school options for your child.
Valor is a vision-driven organization. Current parents of 8th grade students (as well as the students themselves) are eagerly invited to join us for the High School Preview Night in which we will share how Valor’s distinctive vision infuses every aspect of our high school program. We will be sharing our curriculum, including our unique Integrated Humanities Program, college counseling, wilderness expeditions, extracurriculars, athletics, special events, and uniform updates.
