“Modern Power and Christian Glory: Giussani’s Subversion of a Technocratic Age” - Fr. Antonio López

On our opening academic retreat of the 2026–2027 year, Fr. Antonio López (John Paul II Institute) spoke about the place of power in the thought of Luigi Giussani. While the modern fixation on power gradually suffocates the human person and our transcendent desires, subordination to reality offers the true source of freedom and purpose.

If you’d like to attend an academic retreat with the Valor Institute, please see our calendar of events.

The Valor Institute for Studies in Person and Community exists to promote an adequate philosophical anthropology and capacious understanding of the human person flourishing in authentic community.
